The Head Office Team
Hilary started up Straight Talking after her experience as a youth worker with teenage parents. Down to her hands on experience she saw the need for teenage parents to have an avenue to get back into work, and consequently set up the charity. She has steered Straight Talking from a borough-wide charity to one that works all across London. As a result of the work she had been undertaking Hilary felt compelled to take a degree in Social Enterprise, and wrote her dissertation on the link between domestic violence and teenage pregnancy. She graduated with first class honours and is able to back up her academic interest with over 25 years of working experience with teenage mothers and fathers.
Hilary enjoys gardening, reading and has two daughters.
